The East Tennessee Children's Hospital crash cart experience project is a partnership between East Tennessee State University and ETCH from late Fall 2019 through Spring 2020. My development team was responsible for creating a crash cart simulation within Unreal Engine 4 as part of the hospital's medical staff training regimen for emergency scenarios inside and outside the hospital grounds.
During production, the overall goal of the modelers was to create models and environments that worked to serve as set pieces while still performing within the memory constraints of the client's systems. Considering these constraints, I tackled each assigned asset by assigning different fidelity levels based on their importance to the overall scene and player interaction. Once this was completed, I worked to create each asset with the set fidelity limitations while integrating clients' needs/requests as much as possible based upon the scheduled completion of each asset set by the team's art and production leads. Lastly, once assets were completed and approved by team leads, I passed them along to our team's texture artist for final texture and integration into UE4.
